Journal page, Dylusions Paints.

Afternoon all.

Just a quick journal page to share with you today.

The background to this page was created at a recent journal class when we able to use the awesome new Dylusions paints. There are just so lush and a dream to work with as an art journaler. You guys are gonna love them.

So this is the background, done with the paints.

Here is my finished page.
I used the journal block around the outside. I would have no idea where I would be without my journal block. Love it.

The stamp used here is from the new Endeavour stamp set.

All supplies are from Art From The Heart.

Next month sees Art From The Hearts preview day. A chance to see upcoming workshops and also to take a taster session with some of the tutors, including myself.

Dylusions Paints.

Hi there.

I was lucky enough at my regular journal class last week to get to play with the only full set of Dylusions paints out there. The very generous Dyan Reaveley shared her set with her regular journalers.

Oh my word do you need these? Oh yes you do!!!!!!
I don't tend to be a paint kinda girl but these are awesome and you get such awesome quick results with them. Think I may turn into a paint kinda girl.

We also covered our Journals with them.

These are everyone's journals from class.

I will be back soon with some of the pages completed.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Journal pages

Hi there.

Today I have a few journal pages to share with you that I recently finished.
I did the background for these pages in a regular journal class quite awhile ago. Dyan showed us how to create the side border using her Journal block.

It is very easy to do but looks amazing once done. I totally love all these pages.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Canvas Hearts

Morning all.

I have something different to share with you today.
This is definitely out of my comfort zone but
I can honesty say I had a total ball doing these and I came away with all my fingers intact. (if you know me well you will totally understand that that was a miracle).

I have never used a sewing machine before and so it was defiantly a challenge but the lovely Dyan Reaveley was terribly patience and showed me how.

This is what I created.

How awesome are these?
I am totally in love with them. I had seen photos of them before from Dyan's American classes but never thought I would be able to do them.

This is them in progress.

I also just have to show you my fabaroonie new lunchbox that my Bestie Gemma bought for me for Xmas.
I usually turn up in class with one of my son's lunchboxes. But no more as I have my awesome Alice in Wonderland lunch tin.

Here are each individual heart with its reverse.

I added some Star Dust Stickles here and there on each after I got home.

I will be teaching my first class at Art From The Heart next Saturday so if you would like to book on, please follow this link here.

Here is some idea of the things we will be doing.

Thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment I would love to know what you think to my first sewing attempt.

February Dylusions Facebook Challenge.

Morning all from a snowy East Yorkshire, England.
I totally love the snow and am so excited we have finally got some here.

As many of you know I run a Dylusions Challenge over on Facebook.
This months challenge is to use Purple, Hearts and Skulls.
I have to say I didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. I don't tend to use skulls very often but I really enjoyed stepping out of my box and using them.

Here is my page.

I used Dylusions ink sprays on the background. I used Crushed Grape, London Blue and Vibrant Turquoise. The heart stamp in the background is from Inbetweenies set.

I used Pin up Queen body with a head from Bits of This.

To create hair I used Hearts from Love Struck Lucy.

The skulls are from Day of the Heads set.
To colour the images I used a mixture of Copic markers and ProMarkers.

All supplies are available at Art From The Heart home of Dylusions, just click here for the Dylusions section.
